Estimation of remaining pages :
- HP printers assume the number of output and average coverage on the basis of an installed calculation program which automatically counts the output by the measurement of consumption of toner.
- HP 2300 or higher level printers can measure the remaining toner. A sharp decline in rate of toner consumption per print can be noticed upon replacement of our chips without filling of toner appropriately. This decline is not caused by an error on the part of the chip but because the toner is not sufficiently filled up.
- In case of HP1160/1300/1320 the estimated remaining pages is calculated by their calculation program only but in case of higher level printers the calculation is done by complex measure system for finding the estimated remaining pages.
Pages printed with this supply:
The number of pages printed with this supply is shown as “Pages printed with this supply” on the configuration screen.
Number of jobs processed:
The number of jobs processed varies according to the number of print work, cut on/off of power supply, replacement of cartridge, jam, and such other similar activities.
Date of first installation and last used date :
1) HP printers indicate the “First install date” and “Last used date”. But some of the old models cannot utilize the said function due to improper matching with computer OS and printer port type. It is caused by no time/date information from the computer.
2) For example, HP 2300 printer cartridge should be installed with printer power on mode. If not,Z the date of “First install date” and “Last used date” will show wrong number.
3) Up-to-date models like HP 2400/4250/4345/4350 have their own timer system in it. As a result of this above date error will not be shown on the screen.
Trouble shooting : 1. Please do not repeat the installation process. This will decrease the adhesive strength of the tape.
- Please ensure that there is appropriate amount of toner because the configuration screen will not indicate correct estimation of the remaining page if the toner amount is not sufficient.
- Our chips are multifunctional for various types of printers. It recognizes the proper type of printer which the chip have been installed by itself. And it also registers the printer type information in it. Hence, upon installation in one printer, our chips cannot be transferred to other printer chip type.
It was reported that at times bad electric contact can occur between chip and cartridge. In such cases, “No printer chip” error message will be indicated on the screen. In case this happens, please make sure if the chip is holding onto the surface of the cartridge and if it is holding on the cartridge surface then hold it on closely to the cartridge.Particularly HP 1300 cartridge is reported to have an inconvenient design for installation of chip.
